consider a business in something that you enjoy doing. Maybe it
is a hobby of yours or something that your friends or relatives tell

marketing, you might want to look at a good affiliate

are many ways to get your website setup. If you are
comfortable
with the internet and internet marketing, and you think that you can
build your own web pages, then build it yourself.
I used My FREE
Website Builder to build this page. If you're a
little apprehensive about building you own, Google search free
websites, and
you'll come up with over 28,000,000 listings. Keep in mind
that
most of the so-called free websites are not really free. Many of
them will just be a single fixed web page that gives you absolutely no
control over the content. If you don't mind having no say-so
in
your business, then you will probably be ok with the fixed web page.
Otherwise, I suggest you look at the Plug In
Profit Site or a similar program. Should you choose
the Plug In
Profit Site for your home business, that program comes with a free
website setup which is totally flexible and a free autoresponder
with a built in
money making newsletter which is very important to the success of your
business.
Domain
Name
Of
course with any website, you will
need a domain
name and a web hosting
service.
Most agree that a short domain name which identifies your
business and ends in .com is preferable. For example, if you sold
socks, you might choose a name like isellsocks.com. Having a
domain name which ends in .com is preferable to .net, or .org, or any
of the other dots, because most people automatically assume that your
business is a .com. Of course you will have to be sure that
the
domain name you choose is available and not being used by someone else.
Most hosting companies offer domain name search and
registration
as part of their service. I like to use 000domain.com
to search for domain name availability. Unless you plan to use their
web hosting, once you select an available domain name,
register that domain name with the company you chose for
hosting.

Hosting
My favorite
hosting company is Host4Profit.
At Host4Profit, I get superior web hosting service.
At Host4Profit, you can choose a
domain name when signing up for their service. If you already
have a
registered domain name with another service, Host4Profit makes it easy
for you to transfer your domain name to the Host4Profit
servers.
Host4Profit is a paid
service.
I do not advise getting free web hosting. Free website
building,
Yes. Free web hosting, NO! For one thing,
if you get free web hosting, you will more than likely have to
advertise someone else's product on
your web page, and you will not get a dime from any sales resulting
from
those free ads on your web page. You don't want customers
landing on your web page and then leaving because they clicked on
someone else's Ad, unless it is a Google AdsenseAd. Also, web hosting companies come and go.
Look for one that is well established and has been around for
awhile. Free web hosting companies are more likely to go out
of
business than paid hosting, especially if they are not earning enough
revenue with those free ads, on your web page, to maintain good
service. I recommend that you pay for web hosting.
There is
much to be said about marketing.
A Google
search will give you 777,000,000 personalized results. So
obviously, the subject can not be covered in a paragraph or two.
